What is RSS?
Keeping up to date with information pertinent to you can be difficult in today's universe of millions of web pages. Wouldn't it be great if the latest news and features were delivered directly to you? That's now possible, thanks to RSS, short for 'Really Simple Syndication'. It allows you to identify the content you likeand have it delivered directly to you. It takes the hassle out of staying up-to-date. Not all websites provide RSS, but it is growing rapidly in popularity and many organisations. We are happy to say we now provide RSS to our users.
How do I start using RSS feeds?
You need something called a news reader. There are many versions, some accessed using a Web browser and some that are downloadable applications. All allow you to select and view the RSS feeds you want. Once you have a news reader, all you have to do is to decide what content you want. For example, if you would like the latest Local news stories, simply click on the RSS link in the upper right of this page. You can subscribe to the feed of your choice in various ways: by dragging the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader or by cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your news reader. Some Web browsers, including Firefox
